Just in time for Sexual Violence Prevention Month!
I had the recent pleasure of interviewing with Tracy Malone, the creator of Narcissist Abuse Support which provides meaningful information on recovery, as well as support, for hundreds of abuse sufferers.
Our discussion ran the gamut between the actual definition for “consent” to the concrete steps people can take to make the world a safer place.
On May 4th, nationally syndicated Kevin Price departed from his business focused 17 years of excellence as the host of “The Price of Business”to speak about a topic he wants everyone to know about… the Bill Cosby trial and what changed.
He and I discussed how the second trial, the one that finally wiped the smug smirk off the comedian’s aging face; differed from the first and what this means going forward.
In MA, Middlesex County DA Marian Ryan needed to make an unfortunate decision last week. She determined it best not to arrest Dr. Roger Ian Hardy for inappropriately rubbing a patient’s genitals under the guise of a “medical examination.” Patients have complained about this doctor for several years with no validation from the justice system.! Joyce Short will be the featured guest tonight on Bonnie Kaye’s Straight Wives Blog Talk Radio show. The discussion begins at 9 PM, Eastern Time.
Bonnie has devoted years toward advocating for women who find themselves married to gay men. Her personal advice and support has enabled countless women to combat the sense of betrayal and defilement they feel as a result of a marriage sham.
If you’d like to comment, ask a question or speak with either Bonnie or Joyce on the air, here’s the call-in number, and the link for the broadcast:
Victims of sexual assault by fraud often think all is lost and they’ll never be able to trust again. Not only were they harmed by a scammer, but the emotional supports they counted on caused them further pain.
Owen Labrie, a popular senior at world renown St. Paul’s School in Concord, NH, used his Facebook account to contact a female freshman for a “Senior Salute,” a tradition in which upper class-men score sexual favors from younger students.
Drilling four bullet holes into his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, wasn’t sufficient to convict Oscar Pistorius, famous South African, double amputee and Olympic runner, for murder. His jail term on a manslaughter conviction, 5 years, meant spending only 12 months behind bars. He’ll serve the balance of his sentence under house arrest. Pistorius gets his Get Out of Jail (almost) Free card on October 20th.
There’s something very ironic about the name of the prison that Orenthal James Simpson, the man known to the world as “OJ,” now calls home…….Lovelock Correctional Center. It’s a fitting place for someone acquitted of murdering his ex-wife and her friend 20 years ago, tomorrow. Continue reading OJ’s Acquittal Anniversary- 10/3→
Billy Tamawiwy was declared guilty today on charges that he used deceit to obtain consent to sex from a teen aged boy. His elaborate hoax included alcohol and pretending he was a woman. Seems he told the victim that having sex with him was a requirement to having Continue reading Guilty of sexual assault by fraud in Australia!→
Twenty-five year old Gayle Newland of Willaston, Cheshire UK, will be sentenced in November for three sexual assault charges. She created a catphish profile of Kye Fortune, a young man who’d undergone serious medical treatments that had disfigured his body. “He” requested that his victim, a woman who’d engaged in a two Continue reading It’s Not a Crime to be Gullible→
My wish for every rape by fraud victim, as we celebrate the independence that set our country free, is freedom from the pervasive bondage of defilement that binds hearts and impedes souls. Continue reading Free.. from rape…. at last?→
Here’s a clever video that simplifies sexual “consent”. It gets the point across that if you ask someone if they want tea, you shouldn’t force them to take it, and includes a variety of very plausible scenarios.
Unfortunately, it also contains some gratuitous strong language, but hey, after all, it’s about sex. Presumably, we’re all adults.
We have Valentine’s Day for celebrating love. We have days to acknowledge Moms, Dads and Grandparents, We even have days to recognize ground hogs. And did you know September 24th is National Punctuation Day…. No kidding!!
The neuropeptide, oxytocin, along with others, provides connection “chemistry.”
Some people are more easily seduced because they’re more compelled by bonding chemistry than others. In the case of Barbara Tatge, a Boston Marathon runner from TN, she seemed immediately smitten by a man she randomly kissed, Continue reading Oxytocin at its finest!→
