Be Careful Mr. President-Elect! Washington DC has an interesting law that could be your undoing!
DC Code § 22–3803. Definitions.
For the purposes of this chapter:
(1) The term “sexual psychopath” means a person, not insane, who by a course of repeated misconduct in sexual matters has evidenced such lack of power to control his or her sexual impulses as to be dangerous to other persons because he or she is likely to attack or otherwise inflict injury, loss, pain, or other evil on the objects of his or her desire.
Rest assured that emotional pain and loss of dignity are likely to qualify as consistent with this law in the eyes of 53% of the US population!
Unfortunately, in rape by fraud or deception, DC is no shining example
DC’s laws pertaining to sexual assault are termed “sexual abuse.” They range all the way from first through fourth degree, and then down to a misdemeanor. They carry sentences from life to 180 days and a fine. But even their misdemeanor law would prove difficult to use in cases of sexual assault by fraud because they substitute the word “permission,” instead of the widely accepted and understood concept of “consent.”
§ 22–3006. Misdemeanor sexual abuse.
Whoever engages in a sexual act or sexual contact with another person and who should have knowledge or reason to know that the act was committed without that other person’s permission, shall be imprisoned for not more than 180 days and, in addition, may be fined in an amount not more than the amount set forth in § 22-3571.01.
