Yes- It’s a huge long shot- but electoral votes are not tied to the candidates. On December 19th, electors can vote their conscience. They’ll be fined, but not heavily. And Hillary, the winner of the popular vote, can still become President!

If you think this is nuts, ask yourself, “Would Al Gore have plunged the United States into a baseless war against Iraq?”

Noted as level-headed, environmentally conscious, and well steeped in the art of diplomacy, Gore won the popular vote against George Bush. But the electors cast their votes for Bush anyway. How many people died because the electors did not support the will of the people? Bush lied. He dragged this country into a war based on Iraq creating nuclear armaments, when none existed.

Perhaps millennials don’t recall this travesty. Unless they lost a parent or older sibling in the war, the result didn’t hit close to home. But that war is also responsible for the terrorism from the middle east. That’s why Trump tries to distance himself for having been in favor of the war even though his braggadocios rants about his opposition were proven to be a pack of lies. Here’s what he really said:

“Well, I think Wall Street’s waiting to see what happens but even before the fact they’re obviously taking it a little bit for granted and it looks like a tremendous success from a military standpoint and I think this is really nothing compared to what you’re gonna see after the war is over. … I think Wall Street’s just gonna go up like a rocket, even beyond, and it’s gonna continue and, you know, we have a strong and powerful country and let’s hope it all works out.”

You can raise awareness and show your support for Hillary. Doing so could  rescue the world from the hands of an impulsive liar with no facility for diplomacy. Haven’t we paid a high enough price for our mistakes already? Let’s not let it happen again! Our electorates can and should do right by America. The people elected Hillary, and so should they!
